What is your monthly focus?

There are so many things in life that are pulling our attention. When you own your own business that number of things doubles, triples, or quadruples what is trying to win you over. It can be utterly exhausting. In areas of business where you can plan, it’s always best to do so. But you need that plan to be flexible.

I don’t know about you, but I tend to be type A in a lot of areas of life and business. I love knowing what is coming up, what I need to put on my to-do list each day, and when I have things laid out so that I don’t have to think about it, that makes life even better! In just a short amount of time each month, I have a way to plan out my social media posts and what I need to focus on in that area of my business.

Before starting in the digital media world, I owned a brick and mortar art studio. We taught classes, made DIY art kits, and ran an online subscription box of art lessons for homeschoolers. There were lots of different avenues for me to market to my audience on any given day. I had to reign in on what I was posting because if not, I’d go crazy. That’s where my monthly focus planning session came in. I typically do this one once or twice a year, and this is where I gather my thoughts on what I want the year to look like as far as what I’m telling my audience about. When I sat down to do this, it took away the chaos of what to put together for my social media platforms. I had the clarity to work on what I needed each month as far as content and videos or images. The best part was that I could swap out months (for the most part) if I needed to, and I could plan my posts ahead of time.

Today, I’m sharing with you my monthly focus planner for social media. This is a great way to start with planning out your social media. You can decide what you want to tell your people about each month. We are at the end of the first quarter of the year, so there is still plenty of time to work on this, and you’ll for sure be ready when 4th quarter hits, especially if you run deals for Black Friday!

What are you hoping to focus on this year on your social media platforms?
